Maryland Medical Cannabis Written Certifications
Heady Health's physician provides outpatient medical cannabis written patient certifications and annual renewals that support use of medical cannabis by Maryland residents.
The Maryland Cannabis Control Act went into effect in July 2023. You have choices as to whether or not you want to obtain or continue your written patient certification. The main advantages are to avoid the 9% state tax and also obtain priority service at local dispensaries. Please see this link for more information. https://mmcc.maryland.gov/Pages/home.aspx
If you would like to continue your written certification, please make sure you have an active registration with the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission, have your 16-digit ID number available, and that you have an ACTIVE ID Card (not expired) in order to renew.
Maryland uses the https://onestop.md.gov/ website. Click on PERSONAL then SEARCH for MMCC and fill out the ADULT PATIENT REGISTRATION.
Renewals cannot be made prior to the expiration of your current written certification.
Current written certifications expire one year from issue.
New written certifications are $200. A typical visit takes about 30-40 minutes for a full history, exam and consultation.
Renewal of written certifications are $100. A typical visit takes 20-25 minutes for a follow-up history, exam and consultation.
Heady Health accepts PayPal or Venmo.
If you are a new patient we will send a patient packet for you via email to fill out and send back for the physician to review prior to your first visit.
HeadyHealth provides online visits through direct video and/or phone calls to patients.

Cannabis Treatment
Anxiety
The active component of the marijuana plant, cannabinoids, have shown to reduce anxiety and post traumatic stress disorder. We support use of medical cannabis for neurologic and general conditions where traditional medicines have not been effective.
Seizures
Medical marijuana contains antispasmodic qualities which relax muscles and has shown to be an effective treatment for seizures. Marijuana oils that are rich in cannabidol (CBD), are the preferred method for treatment.
Chronic Pain
Patients who suffer from chronic pain caused by diabetes, cancer, multiple sclerosis and other diseases have been turning to medical marijuana as a way to treat their pain.
